The team at Davis Advisory wish to acknowledge International Womens’ Day and the theme of this year, being Balance for Better. I wish to acknowledge the significant contribution that the women at Davis Advisory make to our firm and our professional offering to our clients. Since our inception in 2012 we have had an average of 60+% women in our team and gender balance has never been something we have had to work at. We focus on ability which inherently means women will represent at least 50% of our team. We also strive to have good female role models for our young lawyers with many of our senior consultants being experienced female lawyers who are ex-partners at top tier firms or General Counsel. We are currently working with Prof. Gillian Triggs on a project who offers a great role model for young women in the firm. Here’s to a more gender-balanced world and the achievements of the women at Davis Advisory over the past 7 years. As Barrack Obama said: ‘Empowering women isn’t just the right thing to do – it’s the smart thing to do!’
